This fabric collage presents a scenic depiction of Blue Mountain Lake, located in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. The artwork is constructed as three equally sized panels, each measuring 34” x 20”, which together evoke the impression of viewing the landscape through an expansive picture window. Utilizing soft flannels, paisleys, and embossed fabrics in shades of blue, purple, green, and pink, the piece illustrates the distant profiles of Blue and Snowy Mountains.
The composition captures Blue Mountain Lake on a bright summer day, reflecting its shimmering waters below the granite outlook of the Castle Rock hiking trail. The lake’s distinctive dark-green, wooded islands are shown surrounded by sparkling blue water along the shoreline. This triptych pays tribute to the natural beauty and grandeur of the Adirondack Mountains.
