Created from my collection of recycled paper and vintage fabric, my landscapes serve to uplift your spirit with hope and happiness and, at times, a dose of whimsy. If you are looking for color and brightness with some added calm and comfort, you are in the right place.
The beautiful scenery around my homes in Sodus Bay, New York and the Florida Gulf along with family, friends, mental health and the environment provide a foundation for my cozy and homey landscapes. You’ll feel it in the paper-quilted sky in “Historic Downtown Venice,” the leafy oak in “Cool and Calm on Curry Creek,” the feathery palms in “Hope and Resilience” or the quaint red barn and white farmhouse in “Home on the Farm.”
As an art buyer, you may appreciate how recycling fabric and paper plays an important part in my collage making. Along with trying to use what I have on hand and keeping waste to a minimum; my collage materials tell stories of where they’ve been and what they were before.
Examples include: a sheaf of papery birch bark found at our Adirondack property that became a dead oak tree in “Swamp Song Serenade;” or the lovely brown and crème Italian cotton from a dress I made for “The Glass Menagerie” as a Seamstress for Syracuse Stage standing in for walls of the brownstone in “Stone House Secrets;” or the high-end magazine paper from a friend in “Sunrise in the Preserve” saving me during the Covid pandemic when I couldn’t buy paper at the store.
Buyers can rest assured that my collages grew from a solid career of art making experiences. These began early in my life, influenced by my mother, an oil and acrylic painter and continued with stints at art schools, experimentation with watercolor, oil and acrylic paint, pastel, and craft making, and earning honors and awards. One of these included a spot in the “On My Own Time” Art Show at the Everson Museum in Syracuse, NY. I further strengthened my art muscle teaching art in my home studio and for the NYS Board of Cooperative Education’s Continuing Education program.

I live with my husband Jim on Sodus Bay in New York. In the winter, we live on the Florida Gulf. We are the proud parents of two adult children, Laine, a Pediatric Otolaryngology Nurse Practitioner and, Peyton, an Inclusive Recreation and Community Mobility Consultant for Rochester Accessible Adventures. Peyton is also a power soccer athlete and has played for the US Power Soccer Association’s Team USA. We are fortunate grandparents to Fia and Ernie.
