This collage captures a picturesque countryside view that my husband and I pass during our trips to visit our son in Upstate NY. I’m always drawn to the charming barn and inviting farmhouse, visible as tiny figures beyond the road and surrounded by sprawling fields of green and yellow corn.
The sheer size of the fields inspires a sense of calm and wonder in me of nature’s beauty. The day is radiant, with big cumulus clouds drifting overhead while corn tassels sway in the gentle autumn breeze, greeting those who drive by. The detailed illustration of the house and garage, including their small windows and doors, was accomplished through careful precision using a scalpel-like knife, despite my occasional hand fatigue (cramps!) experienced during the process.
