Three-Dimensional Collage
Often described as three-dimensional collage using “disparate…every-day objects”, assemblage is the art of “assembling” objects onto a canvas or board or as free-standing sculpture. My assemblages are not disparate but framed “collections” – objects intended to go together. They grew out of a desire to organize my home and display the collections I had and wanted to keep without taking up too much space.
